How is the position of digital assets (cryptocurrencies and others) changing in the world of finance thanks to the new regulation of MiCA? In this episode of the FinTech Roadmap podcast we welcomed Martin Košťál from the company Coinmate, with whom we talked about this topic and other interesting things from the field.

We discussed what exactly MiCA regulation means for the market and why it is thanks to it that banks and financial institutions can begin to seriously engage with cryptocurrencies.

Martin explained how regulation helps reduce banks' reputational risks and opens up new possibilities for collaboration. You will also learn what MiCA means for ordinary users, how the process of obtaining a license takes place in Coinmate and what tools it uses to combat money laundering.

The final part of the interview belonged to a broader debate about trends in digital assets. We discussed, for example, whether paying by crypto for coffee is still a real scenario, or moving toward more sophisticated uses, such as collateralized loans and corporate investments in digital assets.
