Our events are heading to the regions. Wealthtech and fintech will dominate Bratislava, Zlín and Liberec

8.9.2025

A new series of professional events called Technological Trends in Finance is heading to Bratislava, Zlín and Liberec. The project was created under the baton Czech Wealthtech Association with the support of an online magazine Fintree and Czech Fintech Association and aims to bring the discussion of financial technology beyond the main centres, where similar formats have been lacking until now.

Today, financial technology is no longer the prerogative of companies based in large metropolises. Even in the regions, innovative projects and talents are emerging that deserve attention. The aim is therefore to bring current trends closer to the wider public, support local entrepreneurs and connect them with experts and investors.

The event will offer professional content as well as a space for networking. Participants will meet leading figures of Czech and Slovak fintech — for example David Kašper, CEO of Purple Group, Filip Mařák from Visa, Tomáš Kadeřávek from RoboMarkets, Lucia Lacková from wflow and Radek Teichmann from MoroSystems. Their contributions will cover a wide range of topics from payment innovation to process digitalization to technological trends that are fundamentally changing the financial sector.

A series of events will take place throughout the autumn and will take place in the following cities:

Behind the project is a team that has organized successful conferences FinTech Roadmap, or CryptoNight, in the past. While these events took place mainly in Prague and exceptionally in Brno, the new initiative goes to the regions to systematically support the fintech community and the development of the financial and technological environment across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“The fintech ecosystem in our region is developing dynamically and deserves attention not only in Prague or Brno. Our goal is to connect interesting projects and talents in other cities, create space for cooperation and support their growth.” says Ondrej Mikulcik, one of the main organizers of the event.

The events will offer not only inspiring performances, but also the opportunity to meet colleagues from the field in an informal atmosphere. Networking is an integral part of the concept — the organizers want to create a space where new collaborations and ideas are born. It is the connection of people from different fields of financial technology that is a key factor for the development of the entire ecosystem.

Participation in events is free, registration takes place online. The full programme and list of speakers for each location is available on the event pages.
